Louisa Moats is a researcher and one of the best in the field of literacy education who as served various roles as teacher, researcher, psychologist and author. She recently revised an article "Teaching Reading IS Rocket Science." Her research shares best practices for what teachers should know and do to ensure their students become proficient and thoughtful readers.
